Wine Shine takes their high-proof brandy & soak hibiscus leaves & flowers for a period of several weeks. The brandy is then filtered and fresh lemon zest is added to the mix. It has a wonderful lush nose of hibiscus and tropical fruits followed by a slight hint of citrus. On the palate it opens with bright floral notes complimented by a bright lemon finish.
Wine Shine and Tin City Distillery is more than vodka or whiskey; it's an idea, distilled down to its most passionate form. The idea that the Central Coast represents California in its purest sense, and our spirits are crafted to embody just that. Forged with intention and local wisdom, our brandy, vodka, gin, whiskey, and canned cocktails are created for you.
Following in the footsteps of my great grandfather who was arrested in Tennessee during prohibition for making shine; we do nothing different…except we have a license! I’m Patrick Brooks, the head distiller at Tin City Distillery and Wine Shine. We are located in the heart of Paso Robles, our drinking town with a farming problem. My background in law, teaching credential, wedding officiant experience, and employment as a voice over artist has all led me to crafting spirits. After all, we wouldn’t want you to go thirsty! Cheers!
