Since it was released in 2020 Tin City Gin has become a consistent local favorite, awarded double gold best in show at the 2020 CA Craft Spirits Competition. Crafted with cocktails in mind, Tin City Gin presents itself as a citrus and botanical gin. This expression is bottled at 86 proof and opens with a nose of Kaffir Lime, orris root, and subdued pine. A citrus-forward gin that coats the mouth with a wonderful light herbaceous flavor. A warm, smooth finish is complimented by a lovely zest.
Wine Shine and Tin City Distillery is more than vodka or whiskey; it's an idea, distilled down to its most passionate form. The idea that the Central Coast represents California in its purest sense, and our spirits are crafted to embody just that. Forged with intention and local wisdom, our brandy, vodka, gin, whiskey, and canned cocktails are created for you.
Following in the footsteps of my great grandfather who was arrested in Tennessee during prohibition for making shine; we do nothing different…except we have a license! I’m Patrick Brooks, the head distiller at Tin City Distillery and Wine Shine. We are located in the heart of Paso Robles, our drinking town with a farming problem. My background in law, teaching credential, wedding officiant experience, and employment as a voice over artist has all led me to crafting spirits. After all, we wouldn’t want you to go thirsty! Cheers!
