The idea of creating a coffee liqueur came to life after one of Jason’s usual morning strolls for coffee, with the aroma of roasting beans inspiring his vision for the flavor profile. Born out of our love for all things java, this liqueur is made from premium coffee beans roasted by our favorite neighborhood café, The Stick in the Mud. The distillation process extracts the complexities of the coffee beans and transforms those flavors into a well-balanced, semi-sweet liqueur that’s ideal for any time of day. Our story began when two people, inspired by the land and one another, took the first steps to realize their vision: creating and sharing finely crafted spirits that evoke a strong sense of place and embodied bold culinary artistry. Starting from scratch, Jason and Alayne MacIsaac gradually built their first distillery above their garage at home in Shirley, B.C., a humble Southern
Vancouver Island town whose original name was Sheringham. With appreciation of fine culinary experiences, we select botanicals that are abundant and in season. From sustainably foraged kelp from the Pacific Ocean to cherry blossoms and yuzu peel, our ingredients are of the highest quality and play an integral role in the overall expression of each spirit.
