After aging our straight rye whiskey for 4 to 5 years in high-char new American oak barrels, our distillers transfer the aged whiskey into toasted wave stave barrels for an additional 18 months. The increased surface area of the low-char, medium-plus-toast staves imparts Double Oak’s delightful caramel, toffee, hazelnut, and toasted coconut. Our classic Maryland-style rye whiskey is reimagined through this innovative aging process and then proofed with limestone-filtered water from our spring house built in 1909. The final spirit is a shining example of old meeting new.

Our world-class waterfront distillery is located in Baltimore’s Port Covington neighborhood, directly off I-95 and a short drive from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. We are open five days a week for whiskey tastings and shopping, and will soon open safely for hour-long guided tours. OLD FASHIONED COCKTAIL TYPE | SINGLE SERVE Don Draper likes his at any time of day, and we couldn’t agree more.SINGLE SERVE INGREDIENTS 2 oz Sagamore Spirit Rye Whiskey 2 dashes Angostura bitters 1 sugar cube 1 orange peel .5 oz club soda DIRECTIONS Add ice to a glass pitcher. Stir in Sagamore Spirit Rye, Angostura bitters, sugar cube, and club soda. Strain into a double Old Fashioned glass over a large ice cube. Garnish with a orange peel.SAGAMORE CIDER – HOT Warm up with Sagamore Rye and apple cider. This is fall in a glass – enjoy by the glow of a crackling bonfire. Simple to batch and share with friends. INGREDIENTS 2 oz Sagamore Spirit Rye Whiskey 4 oz Apple Cider .5 oz Lime Juice Simple Syrup to taste Cinnamon Sticks & Apple for Garnish DIRECTIONS Add apple cider, lime juice, simple syrup, and cinnamon stick to a small pot. Bring to a gentle boil for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, add whiskey and stir to mix. Strain into your favorite mugs. Garnish with apple slices and a dash of cinnamon.
