SMALL LOT SERIES
Our small lot series allows us to continue our spirit of experimentation by applying our hard-won house style to products with a specific focus. This wheated bourbon whiskey is in a league of its own.
SCREAMING TITAN
A quick hike from The Lost Monarch within the Grove of Titans you will find this multi-stem coastal redwood rising over 323-feet from the ancient forest floor. Forestry professor Stephen C. Sillett named it after the story of naturalist Michael W. Taylor, who screamed when he first spotted the grove in the late 1990s.
MASH BILL:

A WHISKEY WITH ROOTS
Redwood Empire is more than a cool name, its our home and a source of inspiration. With John Muir as our guide, protecting our environment has become our mantra. We have built sustainability into everything we do.
Our still allows us to distill in a single pass, preserving both water and energy. Local farmers use our nutrient rich mash as feed for livestock. And our state of the art water reclamation facility assures only pure water re-enters our water table.
Redwood Empire Whiskey is not just a product of its environment, it’s a part of it.
THE DISTILLERY
Our distillery is in the heart of the Russian River Valley wine region. It was carved out of the buildings originally housing an apple canning and processing plant owned by the Hallberg family, one of the area’s preeminent families during “West County’s” apple production heyday. The Hallbergs were known for producing a wide variety of apple products, mainly under the Redwood Empire label. Today, the facility and the climate make this the ideal place to make great whiskey, with plenty of relics on site to remind us of our ties to a rich agricultural history.
TREES FOR THE FUTURE PARTNERSHIP
Living and working among the redwoods is a constant reminder of what trees do for our planet’s environment and climate. We have partnered with Trees For The Future, an NGO responsible for planting over 189 million trees since 1989. It’s important to us and our consumers.
FOR EVERY BOTTLE SOLD, WE’LL PLANT A TREE
Cutting into some of the richness and viscosity of corn, this larger wheat component lightens this bourbon up a bit and lets honey floral notes shine though.
