Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, made with a high percentage of imported
German rye, pays tribute to an immigrant maker. Strong and bold, this offering
honors Christian Heigold, a German stonecutter who settled in Louisville prior to
1850 and went down a rabbit hole of his own. Taken with the hope of this new land,
he carved ornate symbols of his patriotism on the facade of his landmark home.

In this digital world of virtual friends, bots, and blogs, the one true thing is love. It allows us to let go of our avatar masks and reveal the beauty that resides within. It gives us the courage to pursue passions with youthful optimism and stare wide-eyed at the possibilities ahead.
Our founder fell in love with Bourbon and the dream to be part of a tradition dating back to the early settlers of our Kentucky Commonwealth. He risked it all, going down a rabbit hole to create true, original, one-of-a-kind spirits for the discerning and build a legacy to last lifetimes.
No shortcuts. No compromise. Nothing left to chance. With a clear mission to cut through the noise, he set out to redefine the standard for American Whiskey. So, find what you love, and go all in. Because destiny is a choice.
Creation Is Personal
Creativity is the force behind the progress and advancements within our civilization. It’s something we all have within us, it’s the fuel behind our hopes, dreams, and potential as a culture. It’s the catalyst behind our destiny. A path to discovery that leads us. For when we embrace it to the fullest, our true purpose is revealed. Ours was to make whiskey.
Bourbon Is A Verb
A hundred years ago Kentucky was brimming with creativity. Distillers each had their own personal take on our native spirit. Through Prohibition and consolidation, we lost almost everything we had accomplished. Erasing the names of brilliant distillers, their recipes, and their ingenuity. Today 90% of our bourbon comes from only a handful of distillers. Old recipes are recycled under new names. An open secret nobody likes to talk about. We approach it differently. We honor the past by restoring creativity to our craft. To realize our full potential, we know we must swing open the doors of creativity, we must let variety reign. We must nurture the grains in our recipes. Value exploration into new flavor territories. Take great care of our distillate. And watch it grow older, every step of the way.
Chemistry Happens when Passion and Purpose Align
Rabbit Hole is a state of mind and a sincere calling that deserves to be answered. A calling that speaks to our instinct to want to seek and do more - that taunts our curiosity to explore what’s on the other side. Your Rabbit Hole is the gateway to your destiny awaiting your arrival. You just have to decide to make the leap or stand idle, because destiny is not a matter of chance.
1/2 cup pure (organic) cane sugar

1/2 ounce of simple syrup
2.5 ounces fine straight bourbon whiskey or high-rye American whiskey
3 mint leaves (garnish)
1 lime wedge (optional)
1.5 cups of crushed ice (about ten cubes from freezer - place in gallon zip lock, cover with kitchen towel and hit with hammer)
In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water on medium heat and stir until sugar is dissolved
Continue heating just until sugar mixture starts to simmer/boil
Immediately remove from heat source, and allow it to cool. Once cool, transfer to mason jar and place in fridge.
THE MINT JULEP
Place silver/traditional mint julep cup (or Rabbit Hole rocks glass) in freezer for about ten minutes.
In a separate cup, muddle (crush by gently mashing) the mint leaves using a professional bar muddler or simply use the handle of a wooden spoon.
Remove glass from freezer, and transfer muddled mint to silver cup/rocks glass.
Pour measured bourbon/whiskey over the muddled mint. Wait 30 seconds.
Pour (completely cooled) simple syrup over the mint and bourbon/whiskey.
Add crushed ice and stir with bar spoon, or metal straw.
