At first sip, Kamet is very vibrant with a hint of the oak. There’s certainly a hint of vanilla and dried fruit notes. There’s a sweet chocolatey after-taste on the palate. So smooth in fact, that before I know it, the glass was done. Khanna recommends the whisky be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or with a splash of water.
NOTES: Delivers a vinous fruity profile with oak spice forward notes complimented with vanilla, caramel & subtle raisins, nutty & sweet dark chocolate on top notes. PALATE: Lively entry with vinous fruitiness & vibrant spice, vanilla notes that exhibit a melted concoction of fresh & dried fruit notes with subtle hints of oaky vanilla, spice & dark chocolate linger in its depths. FINISH: Long warm complex nutty finish with balanced dry & sherried sweetness lingering on palate with oak spice & tannins not far off provide added zest.
