Rooted in the Pacific Northwest, our Gin is made from soft winter wheat sourced in the Skagit & Willamette Valleys. We infuse the finest hearts of our small batch distillation with all-natural botanicals…floral coriander balancing juniper; sweet with warm peppers & light woodsy vanilla to create the essence of a beautiful gin. Then the alchemy! A once used Mischief Rye whiskey barrel transforms this Gin; softer now, supple. Savor it slowly as though searching for treasure.

At Fremont Mischief, all our whiskeys are exclusively Rye because in our growing area – the Skagit Valley, WA & Willamette Valley, OR, – rye grain can be grown sustainably. Corn, the major grain in bourbon whiskey…cannot. Chemicals are required to grow corn here. Mischief has been distilling Rye Whiskey for nearly a decade, and by now, rightfully consider ourselves “rye experts”.
We make all our Mischief Rye Whiskeys traditionally, with techniques used by few in the distilling industry. All our Rye Whiskeys are “High-Rye” – 80% to 85% Rye grain and 15% to 20% Malted Barley. We take the extra time, attention and investment required to create Mischief’s “High-Rye Whiskey”. For us – the beautiful complex flavor and rich mouth-feel is well worth it!
As we approach our 10thanniversary, Fremont Mischief offers four award-winning High-Rye Whiskeys, all barrel-aged from 4 to 7 years. Try one, try them all…we’re sure you’ll like the results. FAMOUS COCKTAIL - SEATTLERITA
Our Barrel Finished Gin replaces Tequila in this refreshing. NW twist on a classic margarita
1 oz Fremont Mischief Barrel Finished Gin, 1 oz Cointreau, 1/2 oz Lime (about 1/2 of a lime), Kosher Salt for rim
Squeeze lime then add juice, gin and Cointreau in shaker with lots of ice. Shake well. Pour some Kosher (or course) salt on a small plate. Rub lime on the rim of rocks glass, then dip glass in Kosher salt. Pour drink and ice into salted glass. Garnish with a slice of lime. Refreshing!

A Barrel Finished Gin twist on a classic negroni.
2 oz Fremont Mischief Barrel Finished Gin, ½ Campari, ½ Sweet Vermouth. Stir, serve over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with orange peel.
