In 2016, we set out to create a gin unlike any other. Having always looked to our surroundings for inspiration, it was only natural that the iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel and its renowned afternoon tea program called to us as the perfect place to spark our creativity. Our Master Distiller explored how each one of their teas played with our carefully selected botanicals, leading us on a multi-sensory journey. Finally, we settled on the extraordinary combination of Empress Signature Blend Tea and butterfly pea blossom, which was discovered in a blend called Blue Suede Shoes. In 2017, Empress 1908 Indigo Gin was born.
Balances the characteristic evergreen flavour of juniper with notes of citrus, floral and spice. An intensely flavoured spirit that is as full-bodied and as complex as a fine single-malt whisky.
