The non-gmo wheat we use is grown on our parents farm in central Kansas that has been in the family since 1876. Kansas sits on a bedrock of limestone so there is a natural leaching of the minerals imparted into the wheat itself that shows in how smooth our finished vodka tastes.
Our goal was to craft a delicious vodka without the astringent medicinal taste we've come to associate with mainstream vodka. We add nothing extra to the process of our triple distilled vodka. We rely on the grain itself and the fact that it is grown over a limestone bedrock to give it a light and crisp finish.
Drift Distillery manufactures quality small batch spirits that are all hand made in San Clemente, CA. One of the most unique aspects of Drift is the grain to bottle operation that they get their wheat from their parents' family farm outside the town of Bison, Kansas. We take a lot of pride in the fact that we’re able to make premium spirits that we love with the grain planted and harvested by our parents. Not many distilleries can say that. Even our tasting room reflects our roots as all the tin and wood come from a 100 year old barn from the farm and definitely makes our tasting room one of a kind.
TASTING Our vodka is 100% wheat grown in Kansas over a limestone bedrock that really gives it a sweetness that is hard to find in other vodkas. It is a true sipping vodka with a light clean taste and velvety smooth finish. It of course can also be used with any mixers for craft cocktails.
AROMA Sweet aroma like butter cream frosting with hints of vanilla.
