The Product

Dos Boots’ agaves are grown deep in the Oaxacan Sierra, only a short drive from Villa Las Margaritas. The rich terroir of the mountain landscape and soil there nurture their agave, giving it its unique and differentiating properties. The piñas, or hearts, of the agaves are hand selected and cooked in a conical underground pit oven, overseen by the expertise of their 4th generation Maestro Mezcalero, Petronilo Altamirano. Their agave is milled with a tahona stone wheel, fermented in wooden vats, and double distilled in copper alembic stills. The Mezcal’s flavor is bold, and best described as smooth with herbal, earthy notes and a slightly sweet aftertaste. Best enjoyed as a sipping experience or in a craft cocktail.
