A dual release, APW No. 3 will consist of a 15YO and 9YO bourbon. Like Derek and his brother David, these two bourbons shared the same parents (distillery) and DNA (mashbill) - distilled from a grain bill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley.
They tasted many great bourbons for this release, but these two stood out as special. Derek added, “Like brothers, they came from the same place but their different life experiences resulted in their unique character. That’s what makes these bottles so fun to drink, especially side by side.”
Aged 15 years in deep-charred #4 oak barrels, APW Release No. 3A was shaped by Kentucky’s intense seasonal shifts. After multiple rounds of tasting, the Trucks brothers selected 107 proof (53.5% ABV) as the perfect expression of this rich, balanced bourbon.
