Born in a small town of 900 residents in southwestern Montana, Willies Distillery was established in 2010 with a simple goal in mind: create brands and products that embody the independent spirit and authenticity of the American West while supporting its local economy and residents. Founders Willie and Robin Blazer showcase local ingredients, regional flavor, and even friends and neighbors in their hometown to proudly produce world-class spirits. Willie, originally hailing from Appalachian moonshine country in western North Carolina, is a veteran of the United States Armed Forces and U.S. Forest Service, serving as an Army Ranger, Special Forces Medic, Hotshot Wildland Firefighter and Smokejumper. Robin, raised on a grain farm in southwest Montana, brings a strong business development and marketing background along with her Montana roots. Currently acting as the President of Willies Distillery, Robin’s prominent position echo Montana’s prohibition-era history of a female-driven spirits industry. At Willies Distillery, we mill, mash, ferment and distill corn, barley and oats on site, as well as producing spirits from imported ingredients like molasses, cream and Canadian whisky. Our spirits are distilled in our custom Bavarian Holstein still, crafted by a family-owned company that has been building world class spirits stills since 1958. Our staff includes veterans of multiple branches of the United States Armed Forces acting in positions ranging from Production to Sales and Management. After nearly a decade, Willies Distillery has grown to become Montana’s premier destination distillery and produces several of the state’s best-selling Montana-made brands. As in the early days of the distillery, we still produce, bottle, label, cork and pack all of our spirits by hand. Willies Distillery remains independently owned and operated.

Nose: Warm aromas of caramelized sugar, toasted pecans, and a touch of Montana wildflower honey. Hints of leather and charred oak linger in the background, evoking a sense of wide-open frontier.

Palate: A smooth, full-bodied sip reveals layers of butterscotch, dried apricot, and dark cherry. Mid-palate, a gentle spice builds with notes of cinnamon bark and cracked black pepper, balanced by a creamy vanilla undertone.

Finish: Long and warming, with echoes of oak, campfire smoke, and a soft maple sweetness that lingers like a Montana sunset.
