We started with the fundamentals, simple things we’d learned from our Siberian roots. We drew water from the Rhaetian Alps in Austria where slate and granite filter out the pretension. Discovered a blend of ancient rye in Lower Saxony that had been blowing in the wind for 5,000 years. And then partnered with a distiller who, for five generations, had been handcrafting rare, curated spirits and winning Distillery of the Year — a family with terroir running in their veins.
Precise formulation.
We used a gentle, slow distillation. Sipped the first batch. Tasted the softness, flavor and skill passed down over a century. It was smooth and rich, with a sweetness borne of ingredients, not sugar. Turns out, we weren’t alone in our reaction — NEFT went on to win consecutive Double Gold medals. And since we’d landed on a taste like no other, we preserved it in a shape like no other, the NEFT barrel — in honor of our grandfather, a Russian wildcatter who always knew how to tell a story.
NEFT has received a 98 point rating from the Tasting Panel, a 92 point rating and Gold Medal from the Beverage Tasting Institute, was named one of the “Top 20 Vodka Brands of 2020” by VinePair, and is a two-time Double gold medal winner as well as Best Vodka winner at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition. NEFT vodka is one of only three vodkas to win that recognition consecutively over the past two years (2018, 2019); and significantly, in the same Competition, won “Best Vodka” in 2018.
NEFT BLACK GOLD
- 1.75 oz NEFT Vodka
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- .5 oz simple syrup
- 3 Cucumber slices
- 2 Dash’s activated charcoal
- Shake all ingredients in mixing tin with ice. Strain into rocks glass with fresh ice.
- Garnish with salt rim, cucumber ribbon and gold flakes.
NEFT ROSE ORCHARD
- 1.75 oz NEFT Vodka.
- .75 oz Egg white.
- .5 oz Hibiscus & Rose syrup.
- .5 lemon juice.
- .25 Calvados Appellation.
- 2 dashes Rose water.
- Dry shake all ingredients in shaker tin, then add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into coupe glass. Garnish with hibiscus flower.
The unconventional packaging may make this Austrian rye vodka look
gimmicky, but don't be fooled: This is a highquality, flavorsome vodka, with
tons of character. It has a great concentration to the nose, delivering rich
sourdough aromas. The palate is incredibly well balanced, with a smooth,
lengthy finish.
