Mara Smith, a former attorney and stay-at-home mom of three, took an unexpected path to becoming the founder of a premium tequila brand. Years ago, tequila became her drink of choice—something she believed was a “better for you” option among adult beverages. But as she dug deeper, she was surprised to learn that many tequilas on the market contained undisclosed additives like sweeteners, coloring, and glycerin.

Motivated to create something better, Mara saw an opportunity to innovate within the spirits industry and bring more female perspectives to the forefront. She set out to craft a clean, easy-to-drink tequila made without additives—and to build a company powered by women at every level.
