THE MASTER DISTILLER
The idea behind the distillery was, we were tired of the spirits on the market and there was no one left in my family that made liquor anymore.
My wife Cindy and I set out to make a better Vodka. The products that you could buy over counter and lacked the good flavors that a great vodka should have. So we work night and day to make the vodka that we both loved. 21 recipes later we came up with Smokey Valley Vodka.
Since then we have Smokey Valley Moonshine (award winning)
"My name is Chad Robins and the Distiller for Cowlitz River Distillery.
I started brewing in 2008 and began distilling in 2009. I began this phase in my life when I realized that all of the old timers in my family had passed on and no one passed down the tradition.
In the years of being a distiller now I have learned to appreciate the tradition and the art that comes with be a Distiller.
All the products I have made have medaled in competition. This is been a big accomplishment for me and helps drive what we do here at Cowlitz River Distillery."
