The first legally distilled whiskey in the state of Alabama since prohibition, John Emerald Single Malt is distilled form 100% locally grown malted barley. 20% of the grain is smoked with peach and pecan wood and the whiskey is a belnd of quarter cask barrels and 53-gallon barrels..

We offer tours, cocktails, and bottle sales in house as well as distribute our spirits throughout Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, New York, California, Colorado, and Illinois.
We are proud of our heritage. From the original three Sharp brothers who ventured to America from Scotland to the namesake of our company, John Emerald Sharp, the Sharps have lived lives of integrity: honoring God, their fellow man and their family. So when it came time to name our distillery, the idea to honor our forefathers in name and spirit rang true.
Nose-Dried cherries, vanilla, and leather
Palate- Caramel, vanilla, soft smoke, and oak tannins
Finish- Pecans, smoke, and cinnamon

Old Fashioned-
3oz John Emerald Single Malt, 2 cherries, .5 oz Elizabeth Satsuma Liqueur, 2 dashes of aromatic bitters and an orange peel. Combine in a rocks glass with a king cube, stir and serve.
The Godfather-
3oz John Emerald Single Malt, 1 oz Elizabeth Pecan Liqueur. Stir in glass over ice and garnish with a orange peel.
