Known for his insatiable creative drive, Brandon is not only Sonoma Brother’s head distiller, he is the driving force behind the company’s innovation, design, and unique thumbprint in the industry of craft spirits. Whether it’s working endlessly to perfect spirit recipes, researching new techniques and equipment, or finding new ways to improve our label, Brandon never stops. Together with Chris, Brandon challenges us to continuously rise to the next level, to not remain complacent, and to always strive for improvement.
Brandon is not only committed to mastering the art of crafting exceptional spirits, he is also a devoted Police Sergeant, wonderful husband, and father to his two children.
Blood Orange Whiskey Cocktail
1 ½ oz Sonoma Brothers Rye
½ oz Amaro Nonino Quintessentia (or any Italian bitters)
2 ½ oz freshly squeezed blood orange juice (about two blood oranges)
¼ oz freshly squeezed lemon juice (about a quarter of a lemon)
½ oz agave nectar
2-3 dashes orange bitters
Sprig of thyme
Juice the citrus and set aside.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the whiskey, amaro, blood orange juice, lemon juice, agave nectar, and bitters.
Shake until nicely chilled. Strain and pour into a cocktail glass filled with fresh ice.
Finally, squeeze the thyme sprig a few times to release its aroma and garnish!
Cinnamon Maple Whiskey Sour
1 ½ oz Sonoma Brothers Rye
1 oz fresh lemon juice
½ oz maple syrup
Pinch of ground cinnamon
Fill cocktail shaker two thirds full with ice. Pour in the whiskey, lemon juice, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Shake well.
Pour fresh ice in cocktail glass and strain the whiskey sour mixture into the glass.
