Corbin Cash Merced Rye Whiskey is made from an ultra-rare, 100-percent California native Merced Rye mashbill. The whiskey ages in our custom-charred American white oak barrels for up to 6 years. With its bold, robust bite, this rye whiskey is full of character.
Corbin Cash Distillery is based on their family farm in Merced CA, founded in 1917 by the great great grandfather of master distiller, David Souza. Primarily a sweet potato farm, David began distilling their cash crop in the early aughts in an act to promote a sustainable and waste free farming operation. Additionally, rye grain has been grown on the farm since its inception as a cover crop to keep the soil healthy during the winter months. After harvesting, the rye is double pot distilled and aged for a minimum of five years in charred new American oak. All spirits are planted, grown, harvested, fermented, distilled, aged, and bottled on the farm. Genuinely seed to sip, truly handcrafted products.
