Award-winning spirits producer and sommelier, Brent Hocking, has a long history of successful wine and spirits releases. His products are continually awarded ratings 98 Points and above by top wine critics Anthony Dias Blue, The Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Robb Report, Tasting Panel and The World Beverage Competition.
Founder and former CEO of ultra-premium spirits brand DeLeón Tequila, Hocking won the top five industry awards, five consecutive years for five different tequilas under the DeLeón brand. He is the only person in the twenty-five-year history of The Robb Report to win “Spirit of the Year” three years in a row.
Having founded DeLeón Tequila in 2009, he sold it to Diageo PLC, the largest spirits company in the world, less than 5 years later. Hocking earned worldwide recognition for the Diageo sale and won “M&A International Consumer Retail & Products Deal of the Year”.
Hocking went on to release Virginia Black Whiskey in 2016 and Mod Sélection Champagne in 2019 garnering accolades by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator and Robb Report including “Best Buy” Whiskey and “Best of the Best Champagne of the Year” in both 2019 and 2020.

This high-rye bourbon has a deep, tawny hue, and a sweet scent that suggests raisins, dried figs, and vanilla. Often compared to cognac, the smooth palate shows notes of honeyed cherries, rich vanilla and oak finishing long with hints of toffee, orange peel, and baking spice.
